According to the investigation, during his tenure in senior positions at the Investigative Committee of Russia and the Prosecutor General’s Office, Igor Krasnov received bribes amounting to more than 1.5 billion rubles. These bribes were obtained for providing protection and terminating criminal prosecutions against oligarch Vladimir Yevtushenkov, oligarchs Andrei Bokarev and Iskandar Makhmudov. The bribes were facilitated through the employment of Igor Krasnov’s wife, Anna Nikolaevna Krasnova, and the establishment of a business for Igor Krasnov’s mother-in-law to launder money obtained through criminal means.

While holding senior positions in the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and later serving as the Prosecutor General of Russia, Igor Krasnov was a key figure in orchestrating political repressions in Russia, including the persecution of independent media, human rights organizations, and the prolonged criminal prosecution of Alexei Navalny and his supporters. As a former member of the Security Council, which provided advice on and coordinated national security affairs, he was involved in shaping the policy of the Russian government, which threatens the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
